Kennedy Space Center Florida-Next Stop Mars! Become an Astronaut of the Future.

After the successful launch of the rocket to Mars mission from Kennedy Space Center in Florida last week, youngsters may be interested in finding out more about becoming an astronaut at ‘Camp Kennedy Space Center’ they can have this opportunity, taught by specially trained and certified teachers.

The week long summer day camp programme offers:- meeting and talking to astronauts, touring the Kennedy space Center, experiencing, imagining and interacting with teams to investigate space travel in the future, design space exploration vehicles, take part in space shuttle mission simulations and learn the challenges faced with space exploration.

Ages 8-14

Open June To August 2012.

Hours: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Payment in advance: $295 per week.

Countdown For The Space Shuttle 8th July 2011.

The Space Shuttle Atlantis is currently waiting for lift off at 11.26a.m. at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Florida. The fuel tanks have been filled and there are no problems other than the possibility of bad weather. Many people are gathering to view the launch of this last mission for a Space Shuttle.

Kennedy Space Center’s Last Shuttle Launch.

The Space Shuttle last mission to the International Space Station is set to launch from Kennedy Space Center on Friday July 8th 2011. The crew have arrived and are doing final checks for Atlantis’s very last flight.

Space Shuttle Endeavour is all fuelled and ready to go as STS-134. Her final journey into space. This mission is the USA’s penultimate servicing flight to the ISS.

Kennedy Space Center Florida/Shuttle Endeavour Launch.

NASA have announced that the delayed launch of the space shuttle Endeavour at Kennedy Space Center Florida, has been re-scheduled to Monday May 16th 2011. The engineers have been working on the problem which caused the delay and are happy with their results.

STS-134 delayed again by an electrical fault in the Space Shuttle Endeavour.

Endeavour’s launch has been delayed now until at least 8th May 2011 an avionics box in the engine compartment is the source of the fault the launch date though is not confirmed as of yet.
